In 2006, casual paintballers Mike Revelle, Mike Saunders, Cameron Boutin, and Chris Cole formed what would become Team Brute Force. The quartet started the team, because they each shared a passion of role-paying as soldiers, and wanted to take their hobby a step further. Unfortunately, the squad broke apart after a few events, leaving the two Mikes as the only surviving members.
At the start of 2007, Saunders and Revelle had strong motivation to keep pursing their passion. Slowly they realized that MilSim wasn't their style of choice, and changed the focus of the team to scenario-style play. The team met more trouble in 2007, and after some difficult decisions, Mike Revelle was the only remaining member of the team.
The 2008 season marked the rebirth of the team, and the official beginning of its venture as Team Brute Force. Receiving help from close friend Chris Torsiello, Mike Revelle modeled Brute Force after legendary teams he had encountered on his travels. This new ideology gave the team immediate success, and earned them their first sponsors: Paintball Supply Shack and Paintball Showcase. Soon after, Pinokio Hoppers and Friendly Fire Paintball followed suit.
2009 was a very successful year for Brute Force. Exalt signed on as a sponsor in early January, providing the team with essential gear apparel. The extra support from sponsors helped Brute Force earn their first Most Valuable Team Award, which was won at P&L Paintball's Transformers III event. By the end of the season, Brute Force doubled in members, attended over a dozen large-scale scenario events, and built strong reputations at local paintball fields.
2010 was the turning point for Team Brute Force as it went from local paintball team to regional juggernaut. In January, the team signed with Planet Eclipse, and then in February partnered up with Energy Batteries. In May, Cameron Eames became the team's first Co-Captain of Speedball, and began assuming responsibility for managing the Speedball Division. When sponsorship agreements expired in October, the team chose not to continue representation of Friendly Fire Paintball, Pinokio Hoppers, Paintball Supply Shack and Paintball Showcase. Instead, they set on a new path with Valken Sports and P&L Paintball for the remainder of 2010, and into the 2011 season. By the year's conclusion, the team had attended another dozen large big games. Not to mention, the speedball team took 4th place at Fox 4 Paintball's Northeast Paintball Series event 4, giving them an overall rank as 8th for the season.
2011 was both a challenging and rewarding year for Team Brute Force. The team strengthened their bond with the fellow P&L Field teams; Steeel Reserve and CT Commandos, as well as attending and earning Most Valuable Allied Team at Skirmish's Invasion of Normandy along with the other P&L Field Teams! Speedball was both a success and a challenge; the team bumped up to Division 4 but had little success for the first two events, after demoting back to Division 5 the team earned 5th place. We choose not to continue our Speedball Division into 2012 so the team can focus on Scenario Paintball, getting new members, and reorganizing the team for the coming season.
