Team News: Recent Event & Updated Schedule

Recent Scenario:
The team played at the Xtreme Paintball’s Cold War: Operation Fallout Scenario game where team member Nolan Aldridge was a General for his first time ever. Nolan, lead Brute Force and the Chinese side to victory.

Check back at a later date for the full event recap.

Updated Schedule:
Brute Force is constantly on the lookout for great games and events all over the New England area. We have changed our April event from the Spaceballs Scenario at LVP South in New Jersey on April 21st to Gone in 60 Seconds at Paintball Sports Inc, in Plattkill New York on Sunday April 15th. The decition was a challenging one because LVP is notoriously known for running incredible games, but the team has decided to support the fellow PNL Teams (Steeel Reserve and CT Commandos) as well as our good friend Charles Holton whom is a General at this event.

Behind the Scenes

Mike Revelle, Brute Force team Owner and Executive Producer of the paintball webshow starring Team Brute Force (which has yet to choose a show title) released a small tidbit about the inner workings of the production side of the show last night on his Blog.

For the past 6 or 7 weeks I have been planning a massive production for filming around 11 paintball events in 2012 following paintball team Brute Force. The show is set to follow the team each month at scenario and big game paintball events all over New England. The footage will be produced into 15-20 minute episodes.

The production is shaping up really well, and we have officially signed on Bryce McCarthy as a Camera Operator and Story Producer. I’ve worked with Bryce for the last 2 years, and he is one of the best writers and authors I have met. I’m very excited to have Bryce shape the story of the show.

Nolan Aldridge’s Gear

I’m Nolan Aldridge, I have been playing Paintball for over 7 years now, so I would like to think I at least know what I am doing. I know that the gear that you use will determine whether or not you go home with welts. Without having to be said, you will want the best gear possible. I always do my research on everything I buy to make sure I have the best, and I don’t waste money.

Marker:
EGO11: I truly believe that Planet Eclipse EGOs are the best paintball guns ever made, in my opinion. I have owned tippmanns, ions, pmrs, and a mini; but out of all of them my EGO11 was easily the best. I like having light equipment so I can move quickly; the EGO11 is the lightest gun I have owned. I also like the ergonomics of the grip, and the pops asa. I’m not forgetting the obvious reasons like the speed, the simplicity of the board, the efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.

Paul Christopher’s Gear

I’m Paul Christopher, the Team Manager here on Brute Force. I’ve been playing paintball religiously since 2009 when I first joined the team. I’ve played all over New England and had the great opportunity to use all types of gear. As a paintball player your gear is the most important part of playing. What you use makes a big difference in your playing style and how much you enjoy playing.

Marker
My marker of choice is the EGO11 by Planet Eclipse. This gun is a great choice for either the woods or for more aggressive speedball play. It’s air efficiency and accuracy will make sure your on the field for a long time and knocking out the opposition at the same time.

2011 Season Recap

In the month of January, on the day the 22nd, severe cold had stricken the farmlands of East Windsor, CT. On one particular plot of land, Team Brute Force was leading the Russians in “Cold War”, a scenario game, presented by Xtreme Paintball. This was the team’s first event of the 2011 season, and the beginning of another year-long journey through the forests of the northeast in a Volvo V70.

Overall, Cold War was a great success for the team, and Xtreme Paintball. Since 2010, Xtreme has been sponsoring Brute Force for both aspects of its paintball needs. On most given Sundays, one could find Brute Force running drills on the speedball field with Fallen Angels, Xtreme Shenanigans, or perhaps another friendly team that decided to stop by and play for the day. One could also find Brute Force leading the charge in a woodsball game, because they’re too fast and aggressive for their own good. This unique quality could be is why Brute Force was chosen to lead a team of Russians in a cold-war based scenario game.

Take the Town 6

On the morning of August 27th, two wars awaited Team Brute Force. For one war, a very angry woman named Irene loomed over them, ready to strike at any moment. They could only hope that she would delay her wrath until after the event, so the defenders would have enough time to break their record of 2 hours and 3 minutes of protecting the town. The other war waited for them at the bottom of the ramps leading out of PnL Paintball’s Ghost Town. With a 3.5:1 ratio of attackers to defenders, we knew our work had been cut out for us.

At 10:25, the defending teams, Steeel Reserve, Brute Force, Connecticut Commandoes, Delta, and friends marched into the town. Making haste, they took positions along the edge of the town. Watching the hordes of attackers pile onto the field was slightly intimidating, but the defenders didn’t let that faze them. As soon as the horn blared at exactly 10:30, guns were up and blazing. Endless waves of attackers sprinted towards the town, but were immediately mowed down by the 60 guns shooting ropes into the forest.
